01 What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website can place on your device to remember information about your visit. Similar technologies, such as local storage in your browser, work in the same way. Cookies can be "session" cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or "persistent" cookies, which remain until they expire or you delete them.

02 Our default is cookie-free

Wenak is built to respect your privacy by default. When you first arrive, and unless and until you choose Accept on our cookie banner, our analytics run in an anonymous, cookie-free mode: no analytics or tracking cookies are set, and no persistent identifier is stored on your device. If you choose Decline, we remain in this cookie-free mode.

03 The cookies and storage we use

Strictly necessary (always active). We store a single value in your browser's local storage to remember your cookie-banner choice (accepted or declined), so we do not ask you again on every visit. This is not used to track you and is required for the site to respect your preference.

Analytics (only after you Accept). If you click Accept, our analytics provider, PostHog, sets cookies that let us recognise a returning session, measure how features are used, and diagnose problems. These help us improve the website. They are not set if you decline.

Session and product features (only after you Accept). Accepting also enables session-level features, such as session replay, used purely to understand and fix usability issues. All form inputs are masked in these recordings, so sensitive details such as passport numbers, dates of birth, names, email addresses, and payment fields are never captured.

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell any information gathered through cookies.

04 Managing your choice

4.1 You control analytics cookies through the banner shown on your first visit: choose Accept to enable them, or Decline to stay cookie-free. Because we remember your choice, you can clear your browser storage for wenak.net at any time to be asked again.

4.2 You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Blocking the strictly necessary storage may mean the cookie banner reappears on each visit, but it will not stop you using the website.
